Yesterday I let you know that I was going to take the "31 Days To A Better Blog" challenge and I am getting more and more excited. Day 1 The task for today was to write an "elevator pitch for my blog". This was something that had been on my mind for a while, as I felt I didn't have a strong focus around what I wrote. I genuinely think I could go "toe to toe" and hold my own in a discussion on most of the issues I write about, but I wasn't providing any depth of information. As I sat down to write this I wondered about my title, I tossed between "Don't forget your belt" and "Drinking $200 bottles of wine". "Don't forget your belt, was a travel tip for men. If you are going to go away with your wife for the weekend, heed my advice and pack early, if not you will be like me rushing out of the house late, forgetting your belt and will spend all weekend pulling up your jeans. :) Anyway, I'm sitting here buzzing after a weekend away with Sonya where we spent two amazing days exploring a jewel in our own back yard, Waiheke Island. Will this be a false alarm or the big one? Adrenaline runs for a reason and that is to prepare you for the job ahead. A healthy amount of fear keeps you safe. As I am sure you have heard before ... When I grow up I want to be just like House MD ... Not only is this such a wonderful show, but isn't he a wonderful and inspiring man? LOL I don't want to scare people, and I say this partly tongue in cheek, but I think it would be kind of cool to be like him. Think about it ... - he's incredibly intelligent - he saves lives when others can't - he's creative, and works outside the box - he knows how to differentiate between the "symptom" and the actual "problem" - he says exactly what he wants to say, when he wants to say it, and political correctness doesn't hold him back - he inspires (also To View More >>
