Exactly. I find myself stopping and thinking clearly about what I want to do before jumping into social media like I once did. A little thinking can save a lot of time.

Ah so true ... it is actually so easy to get distracted with Twitter. Especially for those caught up in "the number of followers you have being an indication of who you are".

The truth is people can see through the empty attempts ... And so can we of ourselves :-)

Awesome point. I tried that when I started with Twitter. And I've fallen into it a number of times. I like how you put it, that you have to stay true to who you are. You are so right on. Thanks for adding this thought.

Thanks Todd, that's very nice of you to say.

I think there is a related point to the one I made above. That is, although you need to add value in a way 'your' customers appreciate, that doesn't mean you should try to add value to everyone just hoping they might become a customer. You have to stay true to who you are, otherwise the old "all things to all people" rule kicks in.

Thanks Again
Stephen

Great point, Stephen. You are so right. Everything comes back to that one simple point - add value to the lives of others. If that's the core, you'll always be standing on solid ground.

P.S. When my photography business was all about weddings, Queensberry was my preferred album company for the very reasons you mentioned above.
