Great story, I totally agree that sometimes people don't really understand "how" to do the little things that show your partner you love them. Sometimes it is the smallest stupidest things that really stick in their mind and reminds them of your love. Sometimes, as in your case, we do it completely by accident and some of us never even know what special little things we are doing that seem like every day life as usual to us.

My wife tells me she knows I love her because every night I run her a hot bubble bath and give her a "kid free" hour in the tub with her book. Just goes to show that something as simple as an hour of personal time can mean more than roses and candy.

Thanks for the comment ... Yay, finally a doubter :-)

I agree to an extent, but only that "our games" might not be right for you.

I do however believe that "games", "traditions", and "private jokes" etc are actually really important to relationships. Romance in a way is a game, a dance between to people ... it's what in my opinion keeps the spark alive.

But most importantly thank you for sharing your thoughts.

i don't know if i like this article . . . on its face, it's describing a tyrannical woman who makes you turn her light off for her even though she can reach it herself. then after some elucidation, it's revealed that it's just a game more than a favor, and doesnt happen very often. kinda loses its meaningful relationship value.

I 'stumbled upon' your blog and read the stories about the light and then read the rest of your blog. Thank you for sharing with us. Please come and visit me, Stephen, on my blog so that you will know why I chose to quote you. Blessings...
