Ok now that I have my 3G iPhone safely setup I thought I would have a play with my Gen 1 iPhone and Upgrade to v2.0.
I followed these instructions and everything worked perfectly and the iPhone upgraded.

The only problem is that Vodafone New Zealand sims are not being recognized yet in iTunes 7.7 or at least the activation part of the store doesn’t. I kind of knew this would be the case as the Vodafone guys last night said that you wouldn’t be able to “self activate” until Monday.
Anyway, could always reinstall 1.1.4 but I think I will just leave over the weekend and see what happens.
